Valdé Beauty Announces Second Annual Latinx Beauty Entrepreneur Grant

Hola Bonitas,

Last month, we hosted a networking mixer on behalf of our luxury beauty client, Valdé Beauty. The event took place at The Arlo Hotel in Soho, NY, where we connected with Latine editors and influencers in the city to learn more about Valdé Beauty and celebrate the announcement of their second annual Valdé Beauty Grant on an intimate night full of light bites, drinks, and deep conversations about the needs in the beauty industry and the importance of Latine representation within this space.

Valdé Touched Down At Arlo Soho for a night of all things Beauty!

The Valdé Beauty Networking Mixer brought together so many NYC-based self-starters, it was truly a sight to be seen. The turnout for this event was sparkling, featuring some of our industry peers including Miss Rizos, Brittany Chavez, and, Yayis Villareal.

As guests arrived, they were welcomed with Valdé products on display. Alongside the product display was a card box where attendees can write their favorite indie Latine beauty brand on a notecard which would then be invited to apply for the grant. There was also a gifting menu where guests could request their favorite shade of Valdé lipstick to be sent straight to their home!

The night concluded with an appearance and speech from Valdé Beauty founder, Margarita Arriagada. As a Latina entrepreneur herself, Margarita understands the various struggles, as she faces them navigating the luxury beauty space. Margarita wishes to approach beauty entrepreneurship and consumerism in a different way by making it inclusive and accessible. While Latinas make up a large percentage of beauty consumers, they are also one of the most underrepresented communities as well. It’s time to break those barriers and get the funding that is needed to succeed.
